How it all started...

After many pleasurable hours relaxing with a drink along the banks of the river Trent, we thought how great it would be to produce our own range of craft spirits reflecting the true “Spirit of Trent”.

The swans, the houseboats and the rowers as well as picturesque marinas housing some stunning boats bobbing up and down in the water inspired us to create truly delicious craft spirits, reflecting the strength and character of the locals.

These are our Spirit of Trent Craft Spirits, made with love and passion.

Our Gin

Our gin is made with passion and love. Made by the traditional method of copper pot distillation in small batches with fine quality, specially selected botanicals combined only with pure water and alcohol. After distillation, it is left to mature for at least a month before bottling, allowing the botanicals to develop the full flavour of this deliciously smooth gin. All batches are personally taste-tested by us to ensure quality. Then, and only then, is it bottled by hand, labelled and stoppered and given a final thumbs up before it leaves our distillery, ready to be enjoyed by you, the most important part of its journey.

Our Rum

Our rum is lovingly made the traditional Caribbean way with the alcohol derived from genuine Caribbean Sugar Cane, rather than molasses. After reduction with pure water, it’s expertly blended by hand with several intense and aromatic ingredients. Together with some other secret special ingredients, the result is a sophisticated, refined and complex array of distinctive and delicious flavours that pamper and linger on the taste buds. All our Premium Rums are incredibly smooth. Each and every batch we produce is always personally tested by the owner for quality to ensure it reaches out exacting standards before it is bottled by hand, ready to leave our distillery to be enjoyed by you.

Trentini

50ml Trent Original Gin,
10 ml dry Vermouth.

Fill cocktail shaker with ice,
Pour in Trent Original Gin and vermouth,
Shake thoroughly,
Strain and pour into a chilled Martini glass,
Garnish with three olives and some lemon peel.

Cuba Libre

50ml Premium Dark Rum
100ml good quality Cola

Pour the Premium Dark Rum and the cola into a glass. Muddle well, then add plenty of ice and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Bee's Knees

50ml Trent Original Gin,
2 bar spoons of honey,
20ml orange juice,
20ml lemon juice.

Put the Trent Original Gin and the honey in a cocktail shaker,
Stir really well so the honey dissolves,
Add both juices and top up with ice,
Shake well and strain twice into a chilled glass,
Garnish with lemon twist and honeycomb.

Gin Caipirinha

40ml Pomegranate Gin,
20ml Triple Sec,
15ml Sugar Syrup.

Pour Spirit of Trent Pomegranate Gin and the triple sec into a rocks glass,
Add sugar syrup, pomegranate seeds and wedges of lime, Muddle well then add lots of ice and mix well,
Garnish with a slice of lime and pomegranate seeds.

Mango Daiquiri

50ml Premium Mango Rum
25ml Lime Juice
15ml Sugar Syrup
Fresh Mango

Add a small scoop of ice to a blender,
Add remaining ingredients,
Blend for approximately 30 seconds,
Pour into a cocktail glass,
Garnish with a sprig of mint
